Lletty Cottage is a self contained annexe to Yew Tree Farm, a Welsh stone farmhouse built around 1790, set in the picturesque valley of the River Towy, and with views to the Brecon Beacons National Park. The cottage is recently refurbished, centrally heated and fully furnished, and is graded FIVE STARS by VisitWales (the Welsh Tourist Board). The cottage is on two floors. Downstairs is an open plan sitting room with beamed ceiling and polished pine floor, well furnished with comfortable chairs and sofa, coffee table, TV, DVD player and Freeview digital receiver.
This leads to a fitted pine kitchen with quarry tiled floor, fully equipped with cooker, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave oven. The kitchen is also fully equipped with kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery. In the adjacent dining area there is a pine table and chairs next to an inglenook fireplace. French doors lead out to a patio area and private, enclosed garden.
Also on the ground floor is a fully-fitted bathroom with cast iron bath, electric shower, shaving point, washbasin and wc.
Upstairs, accessed by open-plan stairs with spindles and newel posts rescued from a Welsh Chapel, is a galleried carpeted bedroom with king sized bed, bedside tables, wardrobe and dressing-table. The cathedral style ceiling and original oak truss and roof beams add to the ambience.
Through the French doors is a patio area with table and chairs, and a beautiful enclosed garden with lawn and flower beds, for the exclusive use of the holiday guests. A curved, traditional laid hedge provides privacy. Guests are also welcome to relax and enjoy the views in the other garden areas surrounding the farmhouse.
